Work on active cellular processes includes the study of cellular oscillations, cellular signaling and the cytoskeletal dynamics during cell division and cell motility. We furthermore study the biophysical basis of hearing. Finally, we investigate the biophysical properties and dynamics of tissues and epithelia.
